July 16, 2010 > Fremont Crime Report Fremont Crime Report Submitted By Sgt. Chris Mazzone, Fremont PD Shooting Officers responded to a 911 hang-up from the closed Don Edwards Wildlife Preserve on Sunday, July 11. A lady was screaming for help followed by what sounded like a single gunshot. Additional resources were brought in and an extensive search of the area was conducted. Sgt. Codey located a party being thrown by the lady who was most likely the cause of the call and the scream. Woman found dead A 27-year-old lady was found dead in her bedroom suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound. Officers responded to the 3500 block of Shadow Brook Terrace on a report of a possible suicide. Attempted robbery A 21 year-old male victim was assaulted by a Hispanic male in his 30's in a white vehicle. The Suspect tried to rob him but no loss was reported.
