Public Hearing
Approved Superintendent of Streets report regarding weed abatement of 77 parcels of land; no objections received.

City Manager Reports
Approved notification to non-elected officials and designated employees to review their Conflict of Interest Code and file report by October 1, 2010.

Approved pay reductions from Newark Association of Miscellaneous Employees (NAME), Confidential and Management groups, resulting in approx. $323,000 of cost savings in FY 2010-11.

Approved development agreement for Newark Area 3 and 4 Project.

Approved redevelopment plan for Newark Redevelopment Project 2; motion carried 3 ayes, 1 absent and 1 recused (Freitas).

Approved agreement with Pick-N-Pull to extend their terms of operation of existing auto wrecking yard at 7400 Mowry Avenue.

Council Matters
Approved appointments to Alameda County Transportation Commission. Council Member Freitas and Vice Mayor Huezo will represent City as delegate and alternate respectively on Alameda CTC. First Alameda CTC meeting on July 22, 2010.
