Fourth of July Parade results
Initiated by a flyover of a 1943 Steerman owned and piloted by Byron Roberts, the 2010 Fremont July Fourth Independence Day Parade was another knockout performance viewed by thousands of bystanders that lined the route through the Mission San Jose historic district. Organizers agreed that although facing stiff competition from the economy, a "lean and mean" parade still delivered its expected pizzazz. Robson Homes and Niles Rotary each contributed significant funds to keep the parade alive and well for next year. Volunteer efforts were outstanding including music of the Canyon Band. Grand Marshal Spencer Christian was well received and joined in the holiday spirit of "Stars and Stripes Forever."
