Mission San Jose Little League's Big League team won the 2010 Big League Championship on June 12 in a 10-0 semifinal rout over Fremont American Little League, and a 17-7 win over Niles-Centerville Little League in the final.

MSJLL was led by the hitting of Scott Fong, who went 2-2 in the win over FALL. Chris Gonzalez tripled in a run and picked up another RBI when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Justin Renteria went 3-3, and winning pitcher Robyn Torrence pitched a two-hitter, striking out 10.

In the championship game against Niles-Centerville (who'd gotten to the final with a 10-0 win over Warm Springs), Gonzalez again led the way, blasting a three-run homer and a double. Ethan Torrence doubled twice and drove in two runs, Eric Gwynn was 2-2 with two RBIs (and was also the winning pitcher), and Renteria had two hits and drove in two runs.

The win was Mission San Jose's eighth championship in a row for the Big League team.

In the District 14 Minor Invitational, Newark American Little League won the eight-team tournament by besting their cross-town rivals, Newark National Little League, 8-0, on June 24. NALL manager Tony Koep's squad had advanced to the championship game by beating Warm Springs in the first round and Centerville American in the semifinal.

In the District 14 Senior Tournament of Championships, Mission San Jose Little League took home the title with a 13-7 win over a team comprised of players from three leagues: Centerville National, Newark American and Newark National. In the five-team tournament, MSJLL beat Warm Springs in a 2-0 pitchers duel to get to the final round.
