Dedication of fish passage facilities on Wednesday
Submitted By Frank Jahn
The Alameda County Water District will dedicate two fish passage facilities on Wednesday, June 23 at 11 a.m. that will improve steelhead trout migration in Alameda Creek. These projects, completion of the Bunting Pond Fish Screen and removal of an in-stream dam, are just two of several projects being undertaken by public agencies to help restore this threatened fish to the Alameda Creek watershed. Ceremonies will take place in Niles Community Park.
