Police seek ATM robberies suspects

The Union City Police Department in partnership with Wells Fargo Bank is requesting assistance from the community seeking information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for two armed robberies. The robberies occurred on two separate dates at the Wells Fargo Bank ATM on Courthouse Drive at the Union Landing Shopping Center.

The first robbery occurred on Tuesday, June 1 just before midnight when the victim used the ATM. He was attacked by two suspects who used weapons similar to wooden sticks when facing the ATM. Although the victim tried his best to protect himself, he sustained head injuries as a result of this attack. The victim reported this incident to UCPD on Thursday, June 3.

The second robbery occurred on June 9, 2010, just before midnight. The victim began using the ATM when he heard footsteps coming from behind him. Two suspects, one using a baseball bat, attacked the victim who was struck multiple times and received head injuries. One of the suspects was described as a Black male adult, mid 20's, 5'6" tall, with hair in long dreads, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and jean shorts.

Wells Fargo Bank is offering a reward of up to $10,000 dollars for original information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
