Submitted By Jerry Metzker
Three million students drop out of high school annually. One child every 9 seconds! What does it take for a child to have a successful school career? Students need a formal and informal support network.
This free Education Mini-Forum, which is open to the public, will reveal the importance of caring adults, friends and family, school teachers, mentors.
Panelists Nyeisha DeWitt (Oakland Promise Alliance), Hayley Ferreira (Youth Mentor), Madge Haynes (Senior Director, Casey Family Programs), Tom Lucas (HR Executive, AAA of Northern California, Nevada & Utah), True Sajo (Mentored Youth) and Cathy Schwiers (Counselor, Mt. Eden High School) will give their perspectives, speak about their experiences and answer questions.
