Robbery at Alvarado-Niles A male victim was struck over the head on Friday, May 28 at the Shell station located on Alvarado-Niles Rd. The suspect demanded money from him. Officers located the suspect minutes later, hiding nearby. He was subsequently identified by the victim, and arrested.
Juvenile assaulted A juvenile victim reported to the UCPD front counter that on Friday, May 28, he was shot in the eye while at Dry Creek Park. The victim stated that two males came up to him for no reason and shot him with the gun. The victim sustained injury to his eye and was medically treated at a local hospital. The case is under investigation.
Domestic Violence On Saturday, May 29, officers responded to the Green Haven Apartments on a report of a domestic disturbance involving a male with a gun. The male suspect was intoxicated and agitated over domestic problems with his wife. Once the suspect's wife and daughter fled the apartment, officers negotiated with the suspect for over two hours, trying to convince him to exit peacefully. The suspect was extremely agitated and began making threats to hurt officers with a shotgun he was holding. At this point, the suspect walked out onto his apartment's balcony and pointed the weapon at the officers. The officers shot the suspect four times. The suspect was then taken to a local trauma hospital where he underwent surgery for his wounds; he is recovering from his injuries. The District Attorney's Office has filed numerous charges and counts against the suspect; he will be booked in the County Jail upon release from the hospital.
Residential Burglary On Monday, May 31, officers responded to a residence on Aquarius on a reported burglary. Officers arrived and observed a male suspect exit the residence. The suspect attempted to flee from officers, but was quickly apprehended. The suspect was found in possession of property from the residence and arrested.
Shooting On Wednesday evening, June 2, officers responded to the area of 7th Street and G Street on reports of shots being fired. A bullet, automotive skid marks, and what appeared to be broken automotive glass in the street were located. No one witnessed the incident and no victims came forward. Local hospitals were contacted, and as of this recording, no victims have been identified.
Robbery On Wednesday evening, June 2, officers investigated a robbery that occurred in front of the Wells Fargo bank located in the Union Landing Shopping center. The victim reported that he was hit over the head with an object while he was at the Wells Fargo ATM. Victim went to the hospital in Alameda and is unable to provide a suspect description. The case is under investigation. |
