Play a key role to improve Alameda County transportation
Submitted By Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority
The Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) and the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (CMA) invite Alameda County residents, businesses and interested parties to take an active role on a "Community Advisory Working Group" (CAWG) to assist in the development of the Countywide Transportation Plan and Expenditure Plan. As a member, you can provide recommendations/valuable input on:
á Development of the Countywide Transportation Plan, a 25-year transportation plan.
á Development of an Expenditure Plan that will serve as a funding element of part of the Countywide Transportation plan and go to voters for approval.
CAWG members will advise ACTIA and the CMA on the development of both plans to support the multi-modal needs of our diverse communities and businesses to make transportation more accessible, efficient and sustainable. ACTIA and CMA seek participants who bring the following perspectives: business, civil rights, education, the environment, health, public transit, seniors and people with disabilities and social justice. If you have experience in any of these areas, you may be qualified to be a CAWG member and participate in this important discussion.
An established, elected-Steering Committee selects CAWG members (a maximum of 27 people). Membership is for an approximate two-year term. The CAWG will meet regularly beginning fall 2010.
