Suspect arrested for possession of drugs and firearms
Submitted By Detective Bill Veteran, Fremont PD
On Wednesday, June 2, while on patrol, Officers Lambert and Dudgeon noted a suspect, Eric Goodson, driving a black Honda Civic in the area of Paseo Padre and Peralta Blvd. Officers Lambert and Dudgeon initiated a vehicle stop but the male suspect pulled over near Country Dr. and then sped-off. He pulled into the Raley's shopping center and several units flooded the area.
The Suspect's vehicle was located unoccupied to the rear of Washington West and he was seen running through the shopping center across Paseo Padre. He was taken into custody near Hastings and Paseo Padre. A soft gun case and methamphetamine was located inside the suspect's car. A loaded magazine was also located near the vehicle.
The Suspect was arrested for possession of drugs and evading arrest. Meanwhile, a father reported that his five year old son had found a gun in the dirt near where they parked waiting for a dentist appointment. While waiting across the street from New Horizon School, the five year old picked up the firearm discarded by the Suspect as he fled. Fortunately the .40 caliber firearm was not loaded. |
