Adopt an ordinance to prohibit the use of polystyrene containers for prepared within the City of Fremont and require the use of recyclable or compostable material.

Approve a 50-year Agreement with the East Bay Regional Park District for Maintenance and Operation of Ardenwood Historic Farm with a 49-year extension. Mayor Wasserman questioned whether the extension would be automatic or come back to council for review. He noted that an agreement of that length without review may be unwise since much can happen in that time frame. Response from staff was equivocal with a comment that planned investment by EBRPS is substantial and depends on a long term commitment from the City.

Assign the City's $4,456,000 Recovery Zone Facility Bond allocation to finance construction of a 56,000 square foot expansion of Dale Hardware.

Award a construction contract for the Family Resource Center Parking Lot and Site Accessibility Improvements Project to Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc., in the amount of $165,230.76.

Support the California Emerging Technology Fund "Get Connected!" Public Awareness and Education Program.

Declare May 22, 2010 as Harvey Milk Day

Amend the Loan Agreement with Peralta Seniors, L.P. to reduce the interest rate from 3% to zero percent for Eden Housing Peralta Senior Housing project and subordinate redevelopment agreements to bank loan documents.

Subordinate redevelopment agreements to bank loan documents for Main Street Village.
