Suspects carrying illegal weapons arrested
On Thursday evening, May 13 officers responded to the Lucky store on a report of several males fighting. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the combatants and a search of their persons was conducted. Both subjects were found in possession of illegal weapons: brass knuckles and switch blade knifes. The combatants were arrested.


Robbery suspect arrested
UCPD K-9 Unit and additional officers went to Fremont on Friday, May 14 to assist in a search for a home invasion robbery suspect. This suspect had been seen kicking the front door of a residence in order to gain entry. The UCPD K-9 unit located one suspect hiding behind a tree; the suspect was promptly arrested.


Suspect charged with making threats
On Saturday May 15, Officers investigated a disturbance involving a gang member making threats to harm a victim. In this case, a known gang member walked up to a male standing in his front yard and asked him if he was a "Sureno" gang member. The victim said he was not. The suspect then threatened to harm him and yelled out "Puro Norte!" Minutes later, Officers located the subject and arrested him for making Criminal Threats while being a member of a street gang.


Home Invasion Robbery
On May 19 Officers investigated a home invasion robbery that occurred on 3rd Street. In this case, the male victim walked out of his house and was confronted by two male suspects. The suspects forced him back into his house at gun point, tied-up the victim and other family members and demanded money. The suspects ransacked the house for valuables and fled. Nobody was injured during the robbery.


Suspects arrested for theft and possession of drugs
Members of the COPPS Unit located a stolen vehicle on Polaris Way. They detained one male suspect and conducted a probation search at his residence. Inside the residence, officers discovered the suspect's accomplices, stolen property, drugs and drug paraphernalia. An additional stolen vehicle was also located in front of the house. A total of four suspects were arrested and charged.
