Supply Corps flag move announced

Captain Robert J. Gilbeau, a native of Fremont, CA, has been selected for promotion to rear admiral and will be assigned as Commander, Defense Contract Management Agency-International, Fort Lee, Virginia. Captain Gilbeau is currently serving as Deputy Commander-Aviation, Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP), Philadelphia.
He is a graduate of Mission San Jose High School and the U.S. Naval Academy, Naval Supply Corps School, Naval Transportation Management School, Naval War College, Naval Postgraduate School, University of Michigan's Ross School of Business Executive Program and University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Logistic Technologies for Executives program.
Captain Gilbeau's afloat assignments include Assistant Supply Officer, USS BOXER (LHD 4); Supply Officer, USS GUADALCANAL (LPH 7); USS HARRY W. HILL (DD 986); and USS NIMITZ (CVN 68). Shore assignments include, Instructor, Naval Transportation Management School; Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Guam; Director, Aircraft Engine Programs, NAVICP Philadelphia; Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics, Naval Air Forces; Material Support Integration Program Manager, COMFISCS; Aviation Material Support, Air Warfare Directorate (N88), Office of the Chief of Naval Operations; Crisis Action Team Leader, Tsunami Relief; and Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, Joint Contracting Command, Iraq and Afghanistan.
