May 21, 2010 > Assault and Battery Suspect arrested Assault and Battery Suspect arrested Submitted By Sergeant Daryl Sequeira, Milpitas PD Milpitas Police officers arrested Joshua Luis Velasquez, 19 year-old male, Milpitas resident for assault and battery. The incident occurred on April 18 at approximately 7:02 p.m.at an apartment complex located at 1400 (block) E.Calaveras Blvd. Officers located a 17 year-old victim who had sustained minor injuries to his head and face area after being punched several times by the suspect. The suspect assaulted the victim after asking the victim if he belonged to a rival gang. The victim told Velasquez he was not associated to any gangs, but Velasquez assaulted him anyway.
