The big splash is coming!

Summer must be close! Schools are approaching final exam weeks and year end activities; senior classmates are contemplating significant changes in their lives - either to a new school or a transition to the working world. If the weather cooperates, outdoor activities enjoyed in warm and hot weather will make their appearance as well. One sure sign is the opening of outdoor water parks. Although some local pools, water play activities and plunges are open year round, others depend on our mild climate and sunny days.

This weekend, Fremont's Fremont Bank Aqua Adventure Water Park is poised for its second year of operation, officially opening its gates for weekend business, May 22. On June 18, the park opens every day through August 29, then returns to weekends through September 26 and Labor Day.

The first year was successful with all new equipment and a well-trained staff. This year promises more of the same and an expanded list of activities from the seasoned staff. Attractions include four towering waterslides, a 700-foot lazy river, lap pool and a little squirt play area. Groups are welcome at the park and, when available, facilities can host birthday parties and corporate events. A combination of expanded food selections and fun activities promise great lazy days of summer at the park.
