Friday, May 7
Officers responded to a report of an in-progress burglary at a residence on Dyer Street at Jean Drive. With the assistance of allied agencies, a perimeter was established and a yard-to- yard search was conducted. Three of the four suspects were arrested for the burglary; the fourth suspect was identified and is being sought for the crime.

Saturday, May 8
Officers responded to the Round Table restaurant on a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, officers found a male suspect standing inside the business. The suspect refused to exit the building and began reaching into his pockets as if he were reaching for a weapon. The suspect was detained with minimal injury to him. He was arrested for burglary.

UCPD dispatch received a call of a possible road rage incident involving two vehicles. Later that evening, officers discovered that the occupant of one of the vehicles had been shot (grazed) in the head and was receiving treatment at a local hospital. Officers attempted to interview the shooting victim, but he was extremely uncooperative. During the course of our investigation, officers determined the incident took place in another jurisdiction; the investigation was referred.

Tuesday, May 11
Officers investigated a robbery that occurred in front of the Payless Shoe Store on Decoto Road. In this case, a female victim was walking in front of the store when two male suspects robbed her of her purse at gun point. The suspects fled on foot towards Alvarado-Niles Road. This case is under investigation.

Wednesday, May 12
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for mechanical violations. The vehicle refused to stop and continued on the freeway towards Fremont. Passenger of the vehicle began throwing items out of the vehicle as officers followed. The suspects eventually stopped and were detained. Several baggies of marijuana packaged for sale, which were thrown from the vehicle, were recovered. Both the driver and passenger went to jail for evading a peace officer and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
