Kaiser Permanente launches sustainability scorecard
Submitted By Susannah Patton
Kaiser Permanente will launch its Sustainability Scorecard - the first of its kind in health care - which will require suppliers to provide detailed environmental data for $1 billion worth of medical products and equipment used in its hospitals, medical offices and facilities.
The Scorecard will require all of Kaiser Permanente's medical suppliers to provide information on their environmental commitment, use of potentially harmful chemicals in their products and information about product and packaging recycling. |
