Everybody Counts!
Submitted By Gwendolyn Mitchell and Lingxia Meng
Over the past 38 years, the Office of Human Relations has been committed to protecting human and civil rights of Santa Clara County residents. Every year, the Office recognizes individuals and organizations for their contribution to this effort.
The Annual Human Relations Awards honor individuals and organizations that are dedicated to advancing human and civil rights in Santa Clara County and beyond. "Everybody Counts!" is this year's theme that highlights the importance of all citizens' participation in the civil rights process. As said by Eleanor Roosevelt, "the destiny of human rights is in the hands of all our citizens in all our communities."
