Fremont Crime Report

Tuesday, April 13

A citizen called 9-1-1 to report her neighbor's house located at 4450 Gibraltar Dr in Fremont had been burglarized. A 25-year-old Black Male adult, wearing dark clothes, had knocked on the front door of the victim's residence. He then went in the backyard and within a few minutes came out with a flat screen TV. The suspect fled in a red Chevrolet Astro Van.


Wednesday, April 14

Officers were dispatched to a possible gang fight at Pecos Ave at Allegheny Ct. A citizen reported approximately 15 gang members involved in an argument. The reporting party reported seeing one subject armed with a knife and another with a bat. While Officers were en route, several of those involved fled. A red Acura and a white car were seen fleeing the area. A few remaining juveniles were detained and a small amount of marijuana was located.


Thursday, April 15

Stolen vehicle arrest on Sutter/Greer Ct. Citizens reported a vehicle spinning doughnuts and then crashing. Three suspects fled on foot. Two juveniles were arrested.

Officers conducted a follow up with UPS regarding a suspicious package sent on Friday, April 2. The package contained six ounces of Marijuana and was going to be sent to New York. UPS investigators opened the package and called Fremont Police Department. The sender (Mark Brown D.O.B. Jan. 28, 1962) provided his telephone number on the package which led the Officers to his residence at 41646 Osgood Rd. As the Officers approached the residence they observed a male, Jeffrey Weathers run through the backyard to Osgood Rd where he was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed 12 lbs of Marijuana in the bed of an El Camino on the property. A search warrant resulted in the seizure of 15 lbs of Marijuana and a half-pound of Hash along with packaging material. Weathers confessed that he and Brown had been sealing and shipping Marijuana to New York where the cost of Marijuana is doubled. Brown had fled when Officers approached the house; an arrest warrant is forthcoming.
