On Saturday, March 27 from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., local time, millions of people around the world will show environmental solidarity on pollution and climate change by turning off their lights - Earth Hour 2010.
Join millions of around the globe and show your support for Earth Hour 2010. By working together, the world's population can make a difference in the "planet's future."
Earth Hour 2010 is a global World Wildlife Fund (WWF) initiative encouraging individuals, organizations, businesses and governments to turn off their lights for one hour to support action on climate change. Last year, nearly one billion people from 87 countries, including approximately 80 million Americans, participated in Earth Hour 2009.
International landmarks that went dark for the hour included the Golden Gate Bridge, Empire State Building, Eiffel Tower, the Great Pyramids and the skylines of Las Vegas, Hong Kong and Tel Aviv.
