Kelly Musgrove, Union City PD On Wednesday, March 17 at 0636 hrs, the Union City Police Department responded to a report of a traffic accident involving a pedestrian and vehicle near the intersection of Regents Boulevard and Celeste Court. As officers arrived at the accident scene they located the driver of the vehicle and the pedestrian who was unresponsive. Preliminary information obtained from the driver indicates that the collision occurred as the vehicle traveled westbound on Regents Boulevard near the intersection of Celeste Court. The pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing, was hit by the vehicle while crossing the roadway. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead. The name of the pedestrian has not been confirmed nor has the next of kin been notified. The driver of the vehicle, 37 year old Juan Moscoso of Union City, is cooperating with investigators.
