Passport Day in the USA 2010

The City of Hayward, Office of the City Clerk, will host a Passport Fair at Hayward Main Library on Saturday, March 27, 2010, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to provide passport information to US citizens and to accept passport applications. The City of Hayward, Office of the City Clerk, is joining the Department of State in celebrating Passport Day in the USA 2010, a national passport acceptance and outreach event.
US citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air. US citizens entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry must present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the US government.
Information on the cost and how to apply for a US passport is available at www.ci.hayward.ca.us.
Please note that for this event, only checks and money orders will be accepted. US citizens may also obtain passport information by calling the Office of the City Clerk at (510) 583-4400.
