Improve your photography skills

The Fremont Art Association (FAA) announces their spring program of low cost photography classes available at the FAA Gallery. Award winning local photographers, Ralph Cooksey-Talbott and FAA "Artist of the Year" Jacline Deridder will provide you with a wealth of knowledge to improve your Photoshop and photography skills.


Portrait Photography - Cooksey-Talbott - $50.00 each or $180.00 for all four

This is a four-part series for those interested in improving their outdoor portrait photography and Photoshop skills. These classes are based around using simple equipment to produce a professional looking result. Two classes will be taking pictures of models outdoors and two classes finishing our images using Photoshop. The overall skill/equipment level is beginner friendly with only one Intermediate-Advanced course.

Intro to Digital Photography - Jacline Deridder - $30.00 per class or 100.00 for all 4 sessions.

This series is offered twice, once on March 13,16,17, 23 and again on May 15,18,19,25.
If you love taking pictures with your digital camera and want them to turn out a little better these five workshops are for you. Deridder will show how to manage, edit and resize your picture files using the inexpensive Adobe Elements image-editing program. You can have fun learning to do some Photoshop magic on your family and vacation pictures.

Photoshop for Photographers - Cooksey-Talbott ~ $15.00 per class or 120.00 for all 12 classes

Photoshop for photographers is a three-month series of weekly workshops that will cover in detail the operation of Photoshop CS for intermediate through advanced photographers. If you are a beginner and want to take the series you might consider taking the Photoshop Primer class to get you up to speed on basic digital image editing concepts. The basic operations will be covered in depth from simple through more complex uses. In each class we will divide the time between the introduction of the new concepts and working up images using the techniques we have learned in the class.
