February 24, 2010 > Vehicle accident in Milpitas Vehicle accident in Milpitas Submitted By Battalion Chief Mitch Kimbel On Monday, February 15 at 12:06 p.m., units from Milpitas Fire Station 1 responded to a two car rear-end collision at the intersection of Montague Expressway at Great Mall Blvd. The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries. One passenger in the other vehicle had to be extricated by Truck One crew utilizing the "Jaws of Life." Two paramedic ambulances from American Medical Response (AMR) transported four victims to Regional Medical Center of San Jose. There were no fatalities and no injuries were sustained by firefighters. The left-turn lanes and West Bound lanes 1 and 2 of Montague Expressway were closed to traffic for 30 minutes by the Incident Commander due to this incident.
