Letter to the editor: Masonic Homes Flatlands Project is a mistake
Dear City Leaders,
On behalf of our neighborhood in Union City, I would like to appeal to you all to consider denying this project. It is very important that you listen to our voices; we are the ones who put you in office. Our dear City Leaders, this is totally wrong. You are going against the will of the people of Union City.
The flatlands and hills are very important to us, to our children and especially to the people of Union City. A massive population explosion would be a burden to the City, the Police and to our neighborhood.
We voted against the development of the hills of Union City in the past. You should respect that. It is the voice of the majority, the voice of the people... everybody should not forget that.
In my opinion, if this issue is placed on the November 2010 election ballot, it will be a total waste of money which could be used for some other project that will benefit Union City residents.
It is not too late, our dear City Officials. You should make the right decision and please listen to us!
