Robert Douglas On Friday, January 22 at 6:15 p.m., officers from the Newark Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting that had just occurred in the 39900 block of Balentine Drive. Responding officers located a 20 year old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting victim was treated on scene by Newark Fire Department, American Medical Response paramedics and transported to a local trauma center. Detectives from the Newark Police Department also responded and are investigating this incident.
