Ninth grade parents to preview 'Secrets'
Submitted By Nicole Steward
As part of the Health education class, 9th grade students will be receiving instruction on HIV/AIDS, in accordance with the state mandated law. Included in this instruction, the student will have the opportunity to view supplemental AIDS education programs. These program choices will be offered to all 9th graders who are currently or will be enrolled in Health.
So that parents can make a well-informed decision on which program is best for their student, a video presentation of the 'Secrets' play will be held on Thursday, January 28, at 7 p.m. in the FUSD Board Room. Staff from the school district and from Kaiser Permanente will be available to answer questions. (The 'Secrets' video and the 'Sex Appeal' video may also be viewed at the Instructional Materials Center at the School District Office on Monday - Thursday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)
