Math Science Nucleus classes
Submitted By Laurey J. Hemenway
The Math Science Nucleus in Fremont will be offering three classes in January for elementary school-age children: Ricky Rapping Rock, Natural Disasters, and Planets Big and Small.
In the 'Ricky Rapping Rock' class, which will be held on January 23, children in 2nd - 3rd grade can learn about the rock cycle and how the different types of rocks are formed. The class will include craft activities, labs, and hands-on science fun.
K-1st graders will learn about what happens during a volcanic eruption, and also how earthquakes happen and how to prepare for them during in 'Natural Disasters.'
In the last class, 'Planets Big & Small,' 3rd-6th graders can learn about the solar system and compare and contrast features of the planets. Students will view the night sky in our planetarium as part of science lab.
