Special Work Session

Discussion of possible use of vacant portions in the northern section of the NMMI site for a major league baseball (MLB) stadium. A mixed use development concept has been submitted to MLB to include a stadium reviving efforts for relocation of the Oakland A's to Fremont. Staff is waiting for signs of interest before pursuing further action. If this matter becomes active, a referendum would be scheduled.

Extend contract for services with Office Depot through January 2, 2011.

Appropriate $1,059,991 in Federal HOME Program funds for Allied Housing project on Main Street in Irvington District.

Prohibit "Adult Encounter Centers" in Fremont.
