Milpitas magazine on Milpitas TV

Check the pulse of the community. Watch Milpitas Magazine, a community television show produced and aired on Milpitas Community Television (MCTV) Channel 26.
Ohlone College broadcasting students work with MCTV to make video reports for a news magazine-style television show and broadcast for Milpitas. The students volunteer their time to cover what's happening in the community.
The show has covered holiday events within the City and beyond - buying pies for charity, getting cheap gas, making donations, poetry, line dancing, Senior Center activities and local sports. Look for a story about when Christmas lights should come down in Milpitas.
"The students are building a news magazine that features 95 percent of the Milpitas Community, and the rest on the Bay Area," Debra Lax, MCTV Station Manager and member of the Milpitas Magazine team informed the Community Advisory Commission. "We're looking for as many news stories that highlight our community. Businesses, new businesses opening, things that are happening at the library, recreation center, Community Center, City Hall, meetings, events, activities, whatever's happening and include that as part of the newscast. MCTV is the best kept secret in Milpitas."
"What we want to do is make sure everyone in the community knows this station is here. It's free. It's under-utilized," she continued.
MCTV is a community television organization that allows residents, staff and volunteers to produce and broadcast public access and educational programming. Media training is available.
