Seating is based on 'first aboard.' Fremont Fire Department Holiday Food and Toy Drive The Fremont Fire Department is beginning its Holiday Food and Toy Drive. Each holiday season, the Fremont Fire Department accepts donations of non-perishable food and new, unwrapped toys at all 10 Fire Stations, and the Fire Administrative Office. Tri-City Volunteers, Inc. distributes the received donations to needy families in the Tri-City area. This process is assisted by the efforts of Fremont Fire Department volunteers. These agencies depend on the toys given to the Toys for Tots campaign, to brighten the lives of their client children in need. All toys must be delivered by December 18, in order for the children to receive them in time for Christmas. Toys must be new and unwrapped. LOV has recruited 55 collection locations and has 100 donation boxes at local businesses. This is the 16th year LOV and the U.S. Marine Corps have joined forces to bring holiday cheer to the children of Fremont, Newark and Union City. VIFE has had a rewarding season and traveled as far as the Huntington Library in Southern California. Judy Lam, the conductor, has directed flute ensembles, chamber groups, choruses, and musicals, many of which have featured her original ensemble arrangements for flutes, strings, and chorus.
