Fremont Fire Department Holiday Food and Toy Drive
The Fremont Fire Department is beginning its Holiday Food and Toy Drive. Each holiday season, the Fremont Fire Department accepts donations of non-perishable food and new, unwrapped toys at all 10 Fire Stations, and the Fire Administrative Office. Tri-City Volunteers, Inc. distributes the received donations to needy families in the Tri-City area. This process is assisted by the efforts of Fremont Fire Department volunteers.

Milpitas Firefighter Holiday Toy And Food Drive
Share the joy of this holiday season with another family by donating a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item. Toy donations are being sought for both children and teens.
Milpitas Firefighter Holiday Toy and Food Drive Tuesday, December 1 - Saturday, December 19 All food donations may be dropped off at the Milpitas Food Pantry, 196 S. Main Street. Toy donations may be dropped off at toy barrels located in all City buildings, or call (408) 586-2800 for additional barrel locations.
Food and Toy Giveaways Saturday, December 19 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Spring Valley Bible Church 220 S. Main Street, Milpitas Proof of Milpitas or Alviso residency is required along with identification of each dependent listed and proof of assistance. Pre-registration is preferred. See wonderful holiday displays, character cut-outs and decorated houses adorned with festive lights. This has been a Fremont tradition for 40 years!
Donations support six organizations: Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, SAVE (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments), HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, Kidango 'Gifts from the Heart' program and Adopt an Angel (Alameda County Child Protective Services.) Mission Valley ROP Food and Toy Collection Drive
The Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program (MVROP) will be doing their part to ensure that those who have experienced unprecedented hardships this year will still have a reason to celebrate with their loved ones during the holiday season. Through December 17, MVROP staff and students will be collecting toys and canned goods to donate to the families that are supported by Tri-City Volunteers, Inc.

Toys For Tots - League of Volunteers (LOV)
Tri-Cities League of Volunteers (LOV) has requests from 19 local Tri City agencies for toys. These agencies depend on the toys given to the Toys for Tots campaign, to brighten the lives of their client children in need. All toys must be delivered by December 18, in order for the children to receive them in time for Christmas. Toys must be new and unwrapped. LOV has recruited 55 collection locations and has 100 donation boxes at local businesses. This is the 16th year LOV and the U.S. Marine Corps have joined forces to bring holiday cheer to the children of Fremont, Newark and Union City.

Christmas Concert
You are invited to join the Virtuoso International Flute Ensemble (VIFE) on Saturday, December 19, at 3:30 p.m. for their Christmas Concert. Special Guest Performers on this concert will be PDQ Quartet, a popular Sweet Adeline barbershop quartet. The concert is hosted by two local Girl Scout Troops, 30679 and 30317, in support of their holiday toy drive. Admission is free, and although not required, it would be appreciated if attendees can bring a new unwrapped toy to share with a needy child in Fremont.
VIFE is a unique youth music group in that the director and members believe that music is a gift to be shared. VIFE's motto is artistic excellence and dedicates its performances to support non-profit organizations and community events. VIFE has had a rewarding season and traveled as far as the Huntington Library in Southern California. Judy Lam, the conductor, has directed flute ensembles, chamber groups, choruses, and musicals, many of which have featured her original ensemble arrangements for flutes, strings, and chorus.

Holiday Party and Bingo for Kids
Young people are invited to the annual League of Volunteers (LOV) Kid's Holiday Party and Bingo. This event includes Santa and Mrs. Claus, treats for all and the fun of playing bingo to win hundreds of dollars in prizes and games. Young people will call their own bingo games, under the supervision of LOV Board Member Donna Sisk. The afternoon is open to all children but Bingo is for ages 17 and under only.
