Auditions for play
Chanticleers Theatre, Hayward Area Recreation and Park District's community theatre in Castro Valley, will offer "The Lion In Winter" as its first show of the 2010 season.
"The Lion In Winter" is written by James Goldman and directed by veteran Jerry Johnson. This classic show centers around the wishes of King Henry to have his son, John, succeed him as King while his wife, Queen Eleanor favors son Richard for the throne.
The show features parts for seven actors; 1 F (40-60), 1 F (20-30), 1 M (40-60), and 4 M (15-35). Auditions and performances are at the Chanticleers Theatre, at 3683 Quail Avenue. Readings from the script only, no pre-casting, no compensation. Play opens February 19, 2010.
