December 2, 2009 > Ohlone College Board Meeting - November 18, 2009 Ohlone College Board Meeting - November 18, 2009 Submitted By Bob Brunton The Ohlone College board of Trustees met for its only meeting of the month of November on Wednesday the 18th. Items for consideration included the possibility of employee layoffs. It was announced that labor groups had reached tentative agreements with the district and the voting process by their membership had begun. The board decided to delay any actions concerning layoffs. It was noted that a letter concerning board and administration response to budget challenges and an official response was posted on the Ohlone website (http://www.ohlone.edu/org/board/packets/2009/20091118/24b-openletterresponse.pdf). The board was advised that the California budget continues to worsen and many financial assumptions made for the district budget would need to be reassessed. The board will meet once in December on the 9th.
