Fremont Fire Department Holiday Food and Toy Drive

The Fremont Fire Department is beginning its Holiday Food and Toy Drive. Each holiday season, the Fremont Fire Department accepts donations of non-perishable food and new, unwrapped toys at all 10 Fire Stations, and the Fire Administrative Office. Tri-City Volunteers, Inc. distributes the received donations to needy families in the Tri-City area. This process is assisted by the efforts of Fremont Fire Department volunteers.

8th Annual Hawaiian Holiday Celebration

Start the Holiday Season with soft and soulful music that will transport you gently across the sea to the welcoming Hawaiian Islands. On Saturday, December 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., join renowned slack key guitarist Patrick Landeza and special guest dancers of the Hui Hula o na Pu'u i ka Noe as they start off the Holidays at the 8th Annual Hawaiian Holiday Celebration, which will be held at the San Leandro Main Library, located at 300 Estudillo Avenue in downtown San Leandro.
At this wonderful holiday event, attendees can shop at the Hawaiian crafts booths and can also purchase a full Hawaiian dinner before the show. After enjoying a delicious traditional meal, attendees can sit back and relax, while listening to Patrick Landeza's tranquil music and watching an exquisite performance of hula dancing.

Advance tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the Information Desk of the San Leandro Main Library. Tickets will be sold at the door for $15. Children 5 years and under are admitted free of charge.

Pancake Breakfast and Tow Truck Parade

Bridges Band of Brothers in conjunction with the California Tow Truck Association is having a pancake breakfast and Tow Truck Parade on Saturday, December 5 from 7:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Breakfast will consist of pancakes, French toast, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee. Breakfast is $5 per person and children five and under are free. There will be live music for entertainment.

At 9 a.m. the California Tow Truck Association will be rolling in with 50 trucks that will wrap around the Bridges Church. Each family is encouraged to bring the donation of one toy for a local homeless child or child in need that will be distributed through City Serve.

Ohlone College Presents 'A Christmas Extravaganza!'
