Verge to hold second annual tournament

Verge of Horizon Events, a student-run committee, will be holding VERGE, the 2nd Annual Tri-Sport Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 28, at John F. Kennedy High School.
It is an all-day event that will consist of six teams competing against each other. Each team will play six consecutive games, consisting of flag football, ultimate Frisbee and basketball. In coordination with John F. Kennedy High School's 540 Club, This event will be raising money to rebuild the high school's amphitheater.
One thousand dollars of the proceeds will be donated directly to the school. The winning team will be paraded on a party bus provided by Orbit SF; presented with the VERGE '09 Grand Trophy; and acquire bragging rights until the Third Annual Tri-Sport Tournament.
Food, water and t-shirt sales will take place, as well as a raffle drawing with phenomenal prizes including a Bengie Molina autographed baseball bat; a tour for 10 at AT&T Park with lunch; a variety of gift cards, and more.
