November 25, 2009 > Tree Lighting Tree Lighting By Dustin Findley Photos By Dustin Findley Construction work at the new senior center means the City's 22nd annual Community Tree Lighting event will return to City Hall and the Milpitas Community Center. "Santa will light the tree during a skit, 'A Very Special Santa,' this year," said Senior Center Supervisor Renee Lorentzen. There will be a holiday-themed puppet show for the children in the Milpitas Community Center auditorium. Light refreshments will be available. The City Hall rotunda will be open so people can view the elaborately decorated trees that make up the Festival of Trees fundraising event organized by the Milpitas Parks and Recreation Foundation.
