November 25, 2009 > Milpitas City Council Milpitas City Council November 17, 2009 Vice-Mayor McHugh reported that Milpitas did very well at the VTA Board of Director's Meeting on November 5. On a 9-2 vote, the Board decided to group Milpitas with the cities of Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. That will give Milpitas a greater voice in mass transit and BART matters. City Council approved the concept of "Generations" for the design of the four artistic yet functional benches that will be placed at the new Senior Center. Council unanimously voted to not pursue any joint effort for a parcel tax measure with the Milpitas Unified School District.
