Graduating high school senior scholarship
Submitted By Coleen Matsuno
The Milpitas High School Parent, Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Scholarship is a merchant and community supported program that has awarded more than $100,000, since 1997, to Milpitas High School (MHS) students in recognition of their community service and school involvement.
Rather than focus solely on grades and academics, community service and grade improvement are considered. Last year, 15 scholarships for $500 each were awarded.
Students do not have to be a member of the PTSA to apply for this scholarship. It is open to all MHS graduating seniors.
Donors are recognized on the PTSA website, in the graduation program booklet and asked to present at the Senior Awards Night in May.
