November 4, 2009 > Hayward Animal Shelter Hayward Animal Shelter By Simon Wong The Black & White Furball animal adoption event on October 17 and 18 was a great success. Five cats and kittens and four dogs found new homes in Fremont (2), El Cerrito (1), San Leandro (2), Hayward (3) and Castro Valley (1). Nine adoptions represent more than double the number of placements on a normal Saturday. The next adoption event at the Hayward Animal Shelter will be "A Home for the Holidays" on December 12 and 13.
