Residential structure fire

The Milpitas Fire Department responded at 2:13 a.m. to a confirmed report of a residential structure fire at 610 Tramway. Milpitas Police confirmed the fire on-scene and accounted for evacuation of the residents. Milpitas Fire Engine 3 arrived and found the home with heavy smoke showing, and attacked the fire. Battalion 19 arrived, established command and assigned incoming units.
Truck 1 was assigned vertical ventilation, the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) was utilized for scene lighting, Engine 1 was assigned Rapid Intervention Team, Engine 2 was assigned to manage the exposures and secure utilities, and Truck 4 was the back up fire attack team assigned to assist Engine 3. Fremont Fire provided a Battalion Chief who was assigned as the Safety Officer, and Fremont Engine 55 was assigned to pull ceiling. Fremont Truck 57 was on scene but not utilized.
Milpitas dispatched a total of seven fire units, multiple Police units for traffic control, three Fremont Fire units, one fire investigator, PG&E, and the Santa Clara County Fire Associates. A total of over 30 personnel responded to the scene. There were no injuries resulting from this incident.
