On Tuesday, Sept. 29, American of Fremont defeated Newark Memorial, 3-2. Top players for Newark were Kelsey Peace, 14 kills, 4 blocks, 6 digs; Ashtyn de Melo 10 kills, 14 digs; Libby Snyder 28 assists, 2 aces, 7 digs. For American: Chrystallynn Sakata, 32 assists, 5 digs, 1 ace; Anderian Carbonel,17 kills, 2 aces, 6 digs, 1 block; Gisselle Stone, 9 kills, 4 digs, Natasha Acidera, 24 digs; and Cory Wassom, 7 kills, 6 blocks, 3 digs.

Thursday, Oct. 1, James Logan of Union City defeated Newark Memorial, 3-2. Top NM players were de Melo, 9 kills, 3 aces; Taylor Hollis 22 digs; and Snyder 12 assists, 10 digs. For Logan Amber Zimmerman, 22 assists, 2 aces; Shelyssa Patolo, 11 kills, 7 aces; and Danielle Ioramo, 13 kills, 6 blocks, 25 digs.

October 1, Washington of Fremont defeated Irvington of Fremont, 3-2. Game scores, 25-20, 25-22, 17-25, 17-25, 15-11. For Washington, top players Cody Bates, 12 digs; Konami Yokoyama, 3 aces, 7 digs, 23 kills; Kori Guerra, 4 aces, 7 digs, 3 kills; and Megan O'Conner, 4 blocks.

Thursday, Oct. 1, Mission San Jose of Fremont defeated American, 3-1. Top American players were Chanelle Norwood, 7 kills, 1 block, 1 ace; Olivia Downing, 6 assists, 1 ace, 4 digs; Stone, 2 kills, 1 ace, 6 digs; and Sakata, 5 assists, 1 ace, 5 digs.

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, it was Irvington at Newark Memorial, Kennedy of Fremont at Washington and Mission San Jose at James Logan. Scores were unavailable at press time.
