Bill Mancebo's player spotlight: Savannah Christopulos

This week the spotlight goes to the soccer fields of Fremont where we meet 14-year-old Savannah Christopulos.

She not only plays for the Newark House Soccer League but also participates in the sport at Washington High School covering her teams in multiple positions.

Staying in top shape comes easy for Savannah, as the practice schedule between two teams rarely gives her a day off from major physical activity.

This well-educated young lady claims the courses of math, geometry, biology and Spanish as her favorite subjects. All of this study time will soon pay off, as her love for animals has created a target goal of becoming a veterinarian.

In her spare time (what little there is) Savannah enjoys nothing more than spending it with her family on camping trips and always takes her pets along as well. Her passion for animals keeps her near her cat and two dogs; she walks those dogs regularly.

Savannah likes hanging out with her friends; looks forward to snowboarding; and has musical interests too, exercising those by playing the piano when she can.

What does she like to eat? Given a choice, Savannah will always place an order for a favorite meal of her mom's spaghetti. Savannah's busy schedule doesn't always allow for those great home-cooked meals and she's been known to grab a bag of pretzels to hold her off in the mean time.
