Nicolas Castro Valley beat Moreau Catholic as the Trojans shut out the Mariners 7-0 on September 22 in girls tennis action. The lady Mariners bounced back from their early week loss and beat Tennyson 5-2. Moreau Catholic, who is now 2-2 in the year, takes on San Lorenzo on September 29 at Hidden Hills Tennis Club. Irvington High took a loss against Mission San Jose 7-0 on September 22. Irvington lost again two days later against American High School 5-2. The team drops to 0-2 in the season. Milpitas High School could not escape with its third win in a row against Wilcox High of Santa Clara as it lost 4-3 on September 22. Milpitas plays Fremont High (Sunnyvale) on October 1.
