Bowl-a-Thon
On October 10, Veronica and Frank Johnson will hold the tenth annual Bowl-a-Thon in honor of their son, Dylan, who passed away in 2000 due to a rare genetic disorder. Ten days prior to his death, the Make A Wish Foundation sent Dylan and his family on a five-day vacation to Disneyland to fulfill Dylan's wish of meeting Mickey Mouse.
This fundraiser, which will benefit the Great Bay Area Make A Wish Foundation, will be held at Cloverleaf Bowl in Fremont and include a silent auction, a special appearance from the Raiderettes, an autograph session with country artist and former "wish kid" Kevin Sharp, and much more.
The schedule is as follows: autograph session with Sharp at 11 a.m., check-in at 12 p.m., and bowling at 1 p.m. Shoes, a T-shirt, and three games of bowling are included in the ticket price of $20. Last year, 205 bowlers attended the Bowl-a-Thon, and the event raised a record of $21,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation.
