Bill Mancebo's player spotlight: Tino Pousima
This week the spotlight visits the gridiron and shines on Fremont's resident of 10 years, 16-year-old Tino Pousima.
Pousima plays tight end for the John F. Kennedy High School Titans varsity football team and has done so since his sophomore year.
This young man is all about sports. His favorite class is, of course, physical education and he also participates in basketball and track for J.F.K. Tino has been totally immersed in sports since the fifth grade.
Pousima stays in top shape by running and hitting the weights regularly in order to keep his focus on his two top goals of playing in the NFL or becoming a professional boxer. These moments are closing in fast and to succeed at education he spends the remainder of his time at the library studying hard for the future.
Tino does find some time for R&R and enjoys a little camping, but with sports on his mind, most of that camping time is spent swimming as he is always seeking a physical challenge to push himself to the next level. We all have favorite foods and Tino is no exception: barbequed chicken and beef will always be his choice with chocolate ice cream and cookies to finish off the meal.
