September 23, 2009 > Candidate and Measure L Forum Candidate and Measure L Forum Submitted By John Smith The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City will be conducting a forum for the Newark City Council and Measure L-Utility Users Tax on Thursday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Newark City Council Chambers located at 37101 Newark Boulevard, sixth floor. Candidates for Newark City Council, Nadja Adoph, Ana Apodaca, and Alan Nagy will be appearing. There will be a Measure L, Utility Users Tax forum with Mr. Al Huezo speaking for the Measure and Mr. Dean Lewis speaking against. Candidates and Pro/Con Speakers will answer questions from the audience. League of Women Voter members Judy Zlatnik will moderate the City Council Forum, and Kathy Steel-Sabo will moderate the Measure L Forum. The public is encouraged to attend and provide questions from the floor.
