After winning what was a statement game on September 11, the Irvington Vikings proved that even though they have a lot of desire and heart, they still have a lot of work to do as Clayton Valley embarrassed Irvington, 47-7, last Saturday, Sept. 19, at Tak.
With the loss, the Vikings drop to 1-2 overall on the season going into Saturday afternoon's (September 26) big game at Washington- (S.F.) just one week before their Mission Valley Athletic League (MVAL) opener at Logan on October 2. Kickoff at Washington is set for 1 p.m.
Clayton Valley remains an undefeated (3-0) with two games left before they start conference play on October 16. The Eagles have looked very sharp so far in the season, winning each of their three games by double-digit margins and have outscored their opponents 107-28.
The Vikings have allowed their opponents to score 20-plus points in each of their first three games and have been outscored 35-90 so far this season. |
