Bill Mancebo's player spotlight: Lexi Christopulos
This week the spotlight illuminates the Niles District of Fremont where 11-year-old Lexi Christopulos regularly practices for her favorite game of soccer.
Lexi plays with determined focus and has been doing so for over six years. Outside of her defensive anchor position for the Newark House Soccer League Thunderstorms, Lexi actively plays basketball on her school team and baseball for Niles-Centerville Little League.
This Fremont resident of seven years attends Vallejo Mill School where math and physical education are her favorite subjects. Lexi enjoys going to school because she says she really likes her teachers who make learning a lot of fun.
Lexi loves animals, especially horses and her career choice without a doubt will be working for a zoo or on a wildlife preserve. When this young lady is not playing sports, studying or hanging out with her four-legged furry friends she enjoys playing on her Xbox, listening to music or simply reading her favorite book. She's got some traveling shoes too and is soon off to Hawaii where she looks forward to some well-deserved time off.
Favorite snacks you ask? You bet. There's no second guessing for Lexi, a bean and cheese burrito will always be her first choice. |
