Join the Fremont Art Associations' (FAA) Photography Group for a day out at Big Basin Beach. Spend a beautiful day at the beach photographing kite surfers and other sights on the coastal highway. Your guide, Ralph Cooksey-Talbot, will discuss making stitched panoramic images and compositing elements together. If time provides, the group will stay until sunset to photograph a local lighthouse.
If interested please meet promptly at 12 noon on Saturday, September 19 at the Fremont Art Associations' Gallery. Drivers are needed for this 120 mile, 1.5 hour, round trip. The group will share the cost of the drivers' gas. It is recommended that you bring the following: camera, tripod, water bottle, lunch, hat, sun-glasses, sunscreen and walking shoes. Be prepared for the wind, dress in layers. This program is directed by local photographer Ralph Cooksey-Talbott.
The Third Saturday group meets at the FAA gallery for a variety of photographic educational opportunities and field trips. This is a free activity sponsored by the FAA. If you enjoy having fun with photography please join us for our ongoing program of classes and fieldtrips. Join our Yahoo group "FAADPG" for the most current information on our activities.
Ralph Cooksey-Talbott has been working as a photographer since 1972 when he moved to California from Michigan. During the 1970's he studied under Ansel Adams in Yosemite. Adams published one of his photographs in the portfolio section of his book "Polaroid Technique Manual."
