Immigration legal service resources
Submitted By Tiffany Lin
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a nonprofit humanitarian organization with presence in 42 countries around the world. In 2008, IRC celebrated 75 years of helping displaced people around the world. IRC provides relief to those whose lives have been shattered by violence and oppression by providing resettlement services to refugees who have come to the United States seeking a better life. Beside refugee resettlement services, IRC provides low-cost immigration legal services for refugees, asylees and immigrants. Three IRC offices are located in the Bay Area: San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.
IRC will be holding a free presentation about immigration legal service resources on September 12, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in Group Study Room A, at Milpitas Public Library, 160 N. Main Street, Milpitas. A question and answer session will be in English, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Lao and French.
